Color Psychology and Yellow wallpaper

Blue can either represent being calm and peaceful or being sad. This picture is kind of a mixture of both. I edited my nephew's eyes because they are normally brown and I made them blue to bring out the color. I took some of him with a blue shirt on but he just seemed to blend into the wall. I like this picture a lot better because it is obvious that blue is the dominant color but it is not overdone. I wanted to show the sadness in his eyes and on his facial expression because little kids are sometimes forgotten and left in the background when something new happens. They become the old story and they are too little to understand it or to say why they are acting the way they are.

Red can represent many different things, such as love, hate, or extreme passion and intensity. I wanted to show the combination of things because sometimes you feel conflicting emotions at the same time. I used juice and poured it out of a bowl to represent how your emotions just pour out sometimes and they go everywhere and you might not even know what all of them are. I brightened up the red towards the front of the photo and in the bowl and brought out the highlights and shadows. I also burned the background to draw more focus on the red.

Black can be view as classy or often it is view as a symbol of death. I mixed white into this photo because I wanted it to be a mix between innocence and sort of like fear, but at the same time following what you know because you don't think anything is wrong with it but in the end it is hurting you. I showed how sometimes the things you like to do the most are the biggest reason for your downfall because you become obsessed and consumed by them.

Yellow represents being happy and green shows nature. I wanted to show happiness through nature. I love being outside and doing activities. Everyone says that I am always really happy and I think that nature plays a part in that. I brought the yellow out in this photo but I didn't want to make the yellow too bright because I kind of wanted the yellow and the green to have an equal balance. I like the angle of the photo and also how there is a lot of detail.

This photo represents how in the story the girl always talked about the lady creepin'. I used long exposure and took a flashlight back and forth. I like how the light is coming out from the window as well and if you look close it is moving out. I wanted the stream of light to represent the lady creepin' back and forth and how the girl trapped in the house and watching from the window. I also like how the cabinets look like they are trying to open and someone is trying to escape.
